Mini Party

On our way home from Vegas we were talking about birthday's and watching the Charger's game. The Charger's were playing Saturday the 3rd and it was Isaac's 30th Birthday. We didn't want to steal Isaac's Birthday (we already borrowed Jake's last year for our baby shower) we wanted to do a little family get together the following weekend but Isaac is such a nice Husband that he bought Gwenett tickets to see Wicked on the 10th and he's such a Nice Uncle that he didn't seem to mind sharing his Big B-Day with his Nephew!

With it being RSV season and not wanting Gavin to be around kids and get sick we already decided we weren't doing a big party. On his 3rd Birthday when he is no longer considered high risk for RSV we will have a huge party and invite all of our friends with kids. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but I don't want my son to get sick by kids that are in school all day around lots of germs.

With that being said we decided to have a 30th/1st/Charger Party on the 3rd with just family and a few friends. This was planned very last minute (I ordered the sandwich the day before and bought a cake the day of) so I apologize if you didn't get an invite, once again it wasn't meant to hurt anyone's feelings.

Here's the "30th" Birthday Boy

The "1st" Birthday Boy

Amanda made this adorable cake, it sure does pay to have a Chef in the Family!

With matching Cupcakes

However Gavin didn't want to smash the cake and wanted to cry instead

I will smash a cupcake though, and get it all over me and mom:)

Uncle Isaac didn't smash any cake :)

We attempted to recreate the babies on the blankets

Look how much they've GROWN

We attempted to take a picture with Birthday Hats...Not so easy with 3 kids :)

Here's Gavin with Grandpa Gary

Gavin showing Dean how to jump and eat all the toys in the Saucer

Opening Gifts! Thanks Everyone For All The Toys & Cute Outfits!

Besides the whole crying while singing happy birthday/cake thing I think everyone had a great time. Thanks Amanda for bringing the Cake/Cupcakes and Mac & Cheese and Hot Wings that everyone can't stop talking about:)

I promise when he turns 3 we will have a huge party and invite all of our friends that I wish could have been there to celebrate this Huge Preemie Milestone with us. With all the toys that Gavin got for Christmas and his Birthday we decided to buy him his BIG BOY carseat. He Loves it and is sooo happy to look out the window and be so high up.

The Charger's won the game! Unfortunately they lost this past Sunday and are done for the year. Grant was at the cabin on Sunday watching the game alone, waiting for Kyle and Cindy to get up there to snowboard for there Birthday's. I'm glad I didn't have to be around his grumpy butt after they lost :) I got to stay home with my Grumpy Butt Son instead. Even with all the precautions we took while having people over he ended up getting a cold and has been sick ALL WEEK. Next time dear family & friends leave your sickness at home LOL

Happy Birthday Isaac! Happy Birthday Gavin! Happy Birthday Cindy! Happy Birthday Kyle! I hope everyone has a great week!

Happy 1st Birthday Gavin!

I can't believe my baby boy is 1 years old!!!

I went in for a Stress Test on Thursday January 2, 2007 and my protein levels were so high they sent me right to the hospital. After a gazillion blood tests they decided my son was coming early so they started with steroid shots to develop his lungs quicker. I was in for 24 hour observation and when they finally released me Friday I ended having pain on Saturday night about 11:30pm (I remember SNL was on) it was pouring rain and I said Grant lets go somethings not right. Poor Grant didn't want me to be on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy so he kind of hesitated until I insited that he takes me back to the hospital. After my Blood Pressure shooting sky high and them drugging me up on morphine they decided I most likely had HELLP Syndrome and sent an ambulance from UCI to pick me up. Once I arrived at UCI and of course they did more blood work they decided it was time to deliver. I was 29 weeks and 5 days pregnant when Gavin Paul Robers, our miracle boy arrived into this world. It was 12:44pm on January 6, 2008 he weighed 2 lbs 4 ozs and was 14 inches long. I was so happy to hear his tiny cry because I knew he was alive and fighting to stay that way.

Look at all the tubes and wires

Looking like an old man

You have grown into a healthy, happy boy and we couldn't be more proud. At one years old you are weighing in at 19 lbs 14 ozs and have surpassed even the doctor's expectations. You are starting to walk, you are talking up a storm and you have started pointing at everything. You have 6 teeth right now and want to eat everything in sight. Your favorite foods are sweet potatoes and vanilla/banana pudding. You love m&m's and have quite the sweet tooth.

Here is our first real family picture.

This is our family on your 1st Birthday! We all were feeling under the weather.

I can't even put into words how much you mean to us! I can't wait for you to wake up from naps so we can play and your smile lights up my life! You are an amazing gift from God and I Thank him for you everday. Thank You Gavin Paul Robers for being the most amazing son a parent could ask for. You will always be our Super Hero! We Love You More Than You'll Ever Know! XOXOXOXOXO

Happy New Year

Happy New Year Everyone! Last year we had plans to visit the cabin with friends to celebrate New Years. The plans were changed once the Doctor told me I had to stay in town to do a stress test, no exceptions. We ended up hanging out with my parents and there friends playing the wii all night and I woke up soooo sick from the flu that I was in bed ALL New Year's Day. Little did I know that it wasn't the flu and it was the beginning stages of the HELLP syndrome and my little man would make his Grand Entrance 6 days later, 3 months early. This is the last pregnant picture I have and it was from last New Years.

2008 started off with a Bang and we haven't looked back. I Love being Gavin's Mommy and even though I wouldn't wish the NICU experience on anyone, I feel that it brought our little family closer and it makes you realize how truly precious life is. I hope everyone had a safe New Year and We Wish You Health, Wealth and Happiness in 2009 :)
