That evening Grant and I went to Kyle & Cindy's house to celebrate their Birthdays! Here is a group shot of the girls...we were playing poker!

This guy kept trying to get everyone to take shots. A few people took him up on his offer...he would fill up 10 shot glasses and go pass them around, he was giving them to the guys outside and walked right into the sliding glass door...it was HILARIOUS

After Poker we decided to play pictionary

The girls got sick of drawing so the occasional drunk guy would stumble in and agree to draw for us LOL Sean got the word "Idaho" and decided to draw our friend Jeff! Next he picked the Eiffel Tower and kept drawing NY LOL

Tim is a Mountain Man growing out his beard LOL Rachel says it's okay because it keeps the girls away :)

We let Gavin paint with his new easel!

Isn't his masterpiece beautiful? Good job buddy :)

In other news Sunday afternoon the Chargers Lost to the Jets in the playoffs....No superbowl for the Chargers. Apparently it's my fault because I took a shower at half time and put on my GREEN pajama shirt...OMG those are Jets colors. Sorry Honey but the kicker needs to get fired...either that or he's getting paid off from the other team to miss kicks in the playoffs since he does this EVERYTIME. Better Luck Next Year :)

It's raining and windy today and is expected to be bad weather all week. I hate when it's so cold but Grant is super excited because that means SNOW!!! I anticipate he will be heading up to Big Bear this week to try out the new bindings on his new snowboard :) Have a Great Week Everyone!

Sick Again :(

Wow 2010 can you please let us feel better already? Friday morning Gavin woke up with a high fever and snot nose. I didn't take him to the Dr. since tylenol was keeping the fever down but I think he has roseolla. Once the fever broke a light rash was on his cheeks. Poor kid can't catch a break.

Grant went to his Mom's for a garage sale Saturday morning and Amanda dropped off gifts from her and Jenn :)

Gavin enjoyed sitting on the present LOL

Thanks for the new golf clubs GoMacho Family

Hmmm I wonder what this is from Auntie Jenn?

We had planned a Disneyland trip with the family for Sunday for Gavin's B-Day but he still wasn't feeling great so we decided to stay home and get some rest.

Grant bought some new bindings for his snowboard with the gift cards his Mom got him for Christmas. Gavin loved helping him change out his old bindings for the new shiny ones LOL

I'll help you Daddy

Happy they are finally on Yeah!!!

Sunday evening Gavin started to feel better and once again Mommy started to get his cold.  I can't wait for everyone to start feeling better so we can actually get out of the house and enjoy the nice weather!

You were also born on a special holiday to many people.....read below for more information on the Ephiphany!

The Epiphany, Three Kings Day and Little Christmas

Everyone knows that Christmas is celebrated on December 25th, but 12 days later, on January 6th, many Christians around the world enjoy a second Christmas celebration. Known by many names, including the Epiphany, Three Kings' Day, Little Christmas or the 12th Day of Christmas, January 6th was first celebrated as a feast day in the 4th century to commemorate Jesus' introduction in human form. Religious scholars explain that for many devout Christians, Christmas is a season rather than a day -- with festivities beginning with the Advent and concluding with the Epiphany.

Among Orthodox or Eastern Christians, January 6th is known as the Epiphany, the day in which Jesus was baptized in the River Jordan. In Western Christianity, the day commemorates the visit by the Magi, or the Three Wisemen, to the baby Jesus. To learn more about how January 6th is celebrated around the world, read on.

Three King's Day
In Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and much of Latin America, January 6th is celebrated as Three King's Day, commemorating the visit by Melchor, Gaspar and Balthazar of the baby Jesus. In Northern Europe and Germany, Drie koningen features children caroling from door to door, dressed up as the Three Kings.

In Spain and Latin America, the day is known as El Dìa de los Reyes. Children leave out their shoes the night before, much like stockings are left out on Christmas Eve. Shoes are stuffed with straw or hay for the Kings' camels; in its place, the Kings leave little ones small gifts and sweets.

Also traditional is preparing Rosca bread with a little trinket -- sometimes a baby Jesus -- baked inside. Whoever finds the prize is believed to be blessed with a fortunate year.

La Befana
In Italy, January 6th honors the legend of La Befana, who was asked to join the Three Kings on their journey. She declined, but always regretted her decision. Much like Santa Klaus, La Befana is believed to visit children on the eve of January 6th, bringing sweets and gifts to the well-behaved children -- and a lump of coal for the naughty ones. Portrayed in popular mythology as an old woman riding a broomstick, La Befana enters a home just like Santa Kluas: through the chimney!

Little Christmas/Women's Christmas
Before the widespread use of the Gregorian calendar, Christmas was actually celebrated on January 6th. Many countries, including Ireland, honor this original date by celebrating Little Christmas, known in Irish as Nollaig Bheag, on the 6th. The Irish also refer to the day as Women's Christmas, a time when men traditionally take over the household duties, giving their wives a 'day off'.

Twelfth Day of Christmas
The Twelve Days of Christmas are considered by many to be the days leading up to December 25th. Some religious historians, however, believe these days actually represent the time between December 25th and January 6th. The conclusion of those days is celebrated with a feast on the Eve of the Twelfth Night, as popularized in the Shakespeare play. In the U.K., the yule log is burned for all twelve nights following Christmas Eve, and then, on the 6th, the Christmas tree and other decorations are taken down. In fact, it is considered bad luck to leave up the tree past the Twelfth Day.

Daddy~Son Disney Day

Grant took Gavin to Disneyland a few days early to start celebrating his Birthday Week!!! I sadly had to work and didn't want to use my vacation time going to Disneyland since we go so often.

My day didn't start off to shabby either.  I was pleasantly surprised when I got to work...my Sweetest Stephanie kept telling me for weeks that she already ordered my Christmas present and she was so upset when it didn't arrive before Christmas because she had ordered it 6 weeks earlier.  I got it Monday morning and she had printed my blog ( I immediately freaked out because that's what Marsha bought me for Christmas) however it all worked out because Stephanie had printed all of 2008 and Marsha had ordered 2009!  They don't even know each other but somehow they communicated LOL The book is Beautiful and I couldn't ask for a better gift. I can't wait until Gavin is older and will appreciated looking at them. Honestly these are the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received and I love Marsha & Stephanie for getting them :) Thanks Ladies I appreciate it.  Okay back to Disneyland LOL

Gavin's favorite show is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show at California Adventure :) He doesn't even mind waiting in line LOL

Waiting for Mickey Mouse & Gang to come out and play!

Eating his bean and cheese burritto with a view of the ducks :)

Daddy did my hair like the "Brandon Walsh" wave...please don't laugh at me

The boys had a Wonderful Day at Disneyland, a Perfect way to start Birthday Week!

That evening we all met up at BJ's for Isaac's Birthday dinner. The food was delicious and the kids all loved running around. Sadly I didn't take many pictures. Just a few of the kiddos.
Elisa was such a good babysitter :)
