Hi Everyone! Sorry for being such a horrible blogger lately...time is slipping away so fast and I am trying to enjoy these little boys before they move out and start college.

This is the picture Gavin and I took at his Mommy and Me day at his school! I Like It :)

Two weeks ago we decided in the early am hours to go use our Passes Aunt Linda & Uncle David got us for Christmas at the Wild Animal Park...we only stayed a few hours, packed a lunch...the weather was perfect! We took the tram ride at the perfect time because all the animals were feeding so they were very close to us. Gavin thought it was so cool :) Gavin loves the play ground there so we ate our lunch while he played for a while...that's why he's not in these pictures.

Gage's Developmental Evaluation was at CHOC last Thursday so I took the day off work and got a little extra snuggle time in the morning with these boys :)

The day of the appt he should've been 5 months 23 days old...some things he measured under 4 months 10 days and some things older 7 months 20 days. The Doctor said he should be able to hold himself up at this age and his feet should send a signal to the brain telling him to use the muscle in his back to sit up straight...he's not quite there yet...hopefully soon. That is the area he scored low in...they also think he doesn't respond to his name well, which he does everyday on a normal basis but he was surrounded by 4 woman and Mom so he in true male fashion decided to stare at the prettiest one in the room instead of listening to Mom call his name. Since they have never seen him before they had to score him based on what they saw. Bummer since I know he knows his name...I should be getting the full report very soon.

The exercise research project that Gage is participating in for UCI has been going well. The ladies came over Friday morning to teach us the new set of 6 month old exercises and the Occupation Therapist said she would talk to CHOC and tell them he does respond to his name and roll over with assistance. Gage's arms are very weak (they think because of his GIANT head) so we are working on his arm strength so he can learn to sit up on his own soon and crawl on schedule. They recommended PT and OT once a week for him and called our Pediatrician we are waiting for approval so hopefully that will help his arm strength soon. Gavin is also going to Physical Therapy every Friday for his tip toe walking (sign of prematurity) I wish he had all these early intervention appts like Gage does so they would've caught the problem earlier. No one said parenthood would be easy...I just hope the therapy helps them both and one day we can have Fridays Appt Free so we can do Fun Things Again :) I am so fortunate to have so many people involved and checking on Gage and while I complain about the appts and taking time off work I know how Blessed we are and how lucky I am to have two happy boys with no major health problems due to their early entrance into this world.

So what else is going on everyone? I'm loving so many shows on tv right now that Friday is my dvr catch up day....Shameless, Suburgatory, Two Broke Girls, Once Upon a Time, Secret Circle, The New Girl...So Many Shows So Little Time! I'm excited that Survivor and The Amazing Race start this week...I've never watched The Amazing Race but thought we'd give it a whirl since Grant's Friend Brendon and his Fiance Rachel of Big Brother Fame are on it this season...Can't wait to watch the DRAMA unfold :)

Knott's was Awesome! I was shocked that on a Saturday afternoon there was NO LINES...I'm not used to that because Disneyland ALWAYS had long lines. I was surprised to run into my Friend Marika and Family when we first got there it was so good seeing them and we need to make plans to meet up there soon. I highly recommend getting Knott's passes $69.00-$89.00 for the entire year...however it's Jan-Dec so the sooner you buy them the better! We will be going back to Knott's very soon :) The perfect end to an Awesome Birthday Weekend for my FOUR YEAR OLD!

I hope everyone had a Wonderful Christmas! Thursday before Christmas was Mom's Day at Gavin's School! They have a professional photographer take your pictures and so many fun crafts to do in all the classrooms :) I got to Finally meet Genn, I read her blog all the time and felt like I knew her so it was awesome to finally meet her in person! I can't believe I didn't get any pics of the kids all together on Christmas...I've been such a bad picture taker since I had Gage because he's usually in my arms. I hope everyone had a Great Christmas! I got a new kindle fire which is AWESOME and I immediately purchased Mockingjay the third book in the Hunger Games Trilogy...my friend Stacy has been reading the books and passing them to me but hadn't finished the third book before our Christmas Vacation so I was very happy to make that my first purchase! If you have not read the Hunger Games go buy it now...it's AMAZING and I can't wait for this movie to come out in March :) I also got Leopard Tom shoes, and Passes to Knott's Berry Farm and the Wild Animal Park/Zoo I can't wait to do all these fun things this year!!!

One of the perks of my job is having the week between Christmas and New Year's off work PAID! Grant took it off this year too and unfortunately like Every Single Year for the Past Four Years I was once again Sick so we didn't gt to do anything fun like we had planned :( This year I got Laryngitis and was spent the day in Urgent Care getting a shot of antibiotics and a prescription. Thankfully my voice is back now and I no longer sound like Demi Moore or a phone sex operator

We did have a nice visit with Trina and Roxy on vacation! We went to Tom's Farms for some yummy pizza and picked up some guacamole and yummy snacks :)

It was nice being home twelve days in a row...the house was scrubbed and we checked many things of the to do list...time for a massive garage sale! I am in desperate need of a date night with the Hubby and it was nice to come back to work and get a little break from the kiddos as bad as that sounds.

2011 was Amazing and we Welcomed Our Second Miracle Son into Our Lives...I'm Looking Forward to 2012 and the Many New Adventures It Brings! Happy New Year Everyone :)

San Diego Family Christmas

Saturday morning we woke up bright and early to go visit all our family in San Diego for Christmas :) Uncle David works night shift so he got home from work at 8am...we showed up at 9am for some delicious breakfast!

Look what Aunt Linda Made Grant! In Honor of his Father...isn't is Awesome :) Aunt Linda it's so Special and We Love it! The spare bedrooms walls are lined with amazing wreaths Aunt Linda has been making...if you need a wreath you should buy one from her! I explained Pinterest and Etsy to her so hopefully she can get some new ideas for new wreaths and start selling some online!

Gavin was in Heaven walking around their awesome jungle backyard...it's so Beautiful and green and he enjoyed finding new places to hide

They also let him pick any ornament he wanted off the tree!!! Needless to say he talked them into 3 new ornaments off their tree...Thanks You Guys that was very nice of you and made Gavin feel very special :)

Next Stop...Solano Beach to see Chelsea and Chet :) We met up at the cutest cupcake shop called Cupcake Love...the frosting was perfect, not too sweet and everything was YUMMY! Good suggestion Chelsea!

Next Stop...Cardiff by the Sea to see GG! When we got to her nursing home we didn't see her with the group, the Nurse joked that she was in "time out" in front of her door. She was upset that they wouldn't let her in her room without supervision! The Nurse was very excited walking with us down the hall towards GG because she instantly recognized us (doesn't happen all the time she's almost 94) and was soooo surprised and excited to see us!

A few weeks ago we went to the Mission Inn to see the lights and meet Santa! I can't find my Santa picture so I am going to steal and scan my Mom's then I'll post it. Gage was snoozing the entire time :)

I got this Insurance claim in the mail...glad it says I'm NOT responsible for over 1/2 Million Dollars. I'm sure another one of these will be coming in the mail shortly, we got two of these huge bills for Gavin totaling over 800k

This past weekend was Grant's B-Day! We go to Big Bear every year so he can snowboard for FREE :) It's a family tradition and Gavin was so excited to go. We had to stop and see Santa and Mrs Claus with her crazy eye makeup and teeth

The Best part was my phone had shattered the day before while I was on a walk so this was such a Blessing :) Thanks Ellen! See How Much My Miracles Look Alike

When giving birth to a premature baby, parents still deserve the "Congrats!" other new parents get, but most people don't know what to say. If flowers or balloons are actually sent, they can't even share them with their baby as they aren't allowed in the NICU. They have to wait to hold their baby, sometimes for a month or more.

When they are finally discharged, they are like most new parents and ...want to show off their bundle of joy. But once again, their experience as parents is different in that they must keep their baby confined and make folks scrub like they are going into an OR before even touching the baby. Just because they are home doesn't make them instantly healthy. Many have continuing health issues, just because they look "healthy" doesn't mean they are, they are still fragile and sometimes, not even "due" yet.

For those amazing parents, babies, and NICU healthcare professionals, November 17th is World Prematurity Day!!!

Yesterday afternoon one of our Members at worked called stating she wouldn't be attending a meeting on Thursday because her Sister In Law passed away at the Age of 31 to Cardiac Arrest. I of course looked on her facebook right away and saw pictures of her Beautiful Family...her Loving Husband and her 4 year old Daughter and 10 Month old Son. My Heart Breaks for this Family....she was a picture of good health and was a Practicing Nurse. I can't help but think of all the similarities between us...same age and two young children. It could happen to any of us without warning. I can't imagine leaving my Children so young...the four year old will have fond memories of her Mother but what about her Infant Son? I can't help but think of all the things I would want my Children to know about me and my Hopes and Dreams for them. What kind of Legacy would you leave behind if you left this Earth today? Is it one you would be proud of? Last night when I got home I hugged my Children a little tighter and let Gavin eat ice cream before bed...Life's Too Short and You Can Never Take a Single Minute for Granted. I know this Woman whose Life was cut short helped me realize that I need to re-evaluate the importance of people and things in my life and I need to eliminate the drama and unnecessary worry over things that are out of my control. I Look Forward to the Future and Making New Memories with My Loved Ones.

So what does everyone think about all the new shows on TV this season? My new Favorites are Revenge (I just sucked Grant in this weekend making him watch all the ones on the DVR) Two Broke Girls, New Girl and last night we watched the premiere of Once Upon A Time...Loved It!!! I also have been really into Oprah's Lifeclass her new show on OWN network its' so Inspirational and leaves me in tears everytime I watch. Grant is really liking Terra Nova I don't really care for it but will watch it with him since I'm a Nice Wife lol

Since All My Children was cancelled and my Friend Stephanie and I don't want to support the new show that took it's spot we've been power walking during our lunch break...it feels good and seems to break up the day and make time pass quicker.

What can I say...it's been a crazy past four weeks and I have so many things I need to catch up on.

Last Tuesday I got home from work and Gavin was screaming in pain with a earache...he's never had one before and since there wasn't a urgent care still open we spent our evening in Corona Emergency Room :( Thankfully it wasn't as long of a wait as I thought and we saw the Dr, picked up meds and were home by 9pm. This was the beginning of a super long work week full of late nights for meetings. Wednesday evening we had a CPR class at our office and I had to stay and grade the papers and lock up the office and Thursday evening we had a membership mixer in Brea at the Yardhouse (at least the food was yummy)

Friday morning Gage had his 4 month shots :( The Pediatrician right away told me that the left side of his head is too flat (a complaint I talked to the NICU Dr's about) he was on the CPAP for a long time in the NICU and was on his right side a majority of the time because of the cords and well now he's going to need a helmet to reshape that side of his head. The Doctor said it will only be a few months and to think of it like wearing braces...he explained that boys need perfect shaped heads because they shave them. It sucks but what can we do...I want him to have a nicely shaped dome and he will thank us later. Not sure when this will happen, waiting on insurance to approve it and then we'll have to visit the prosthetic Dr. Please Pray it's not on too long...poor little guy. Gage will also need surgery on his hernia when he's closer to one year old :( He's still adorable and I love him so much and couldn't picture our chaotic life without him. Gavin is such a great big brother and really enjoys him, I can't wait for him to be old enough that they can really play together. Gage now weighs almost 12 pounds!

After weeks of insurance approvals and trying to make appointments we finally had Gage's Pneumogram appt at CHOC on Tuesday evening. Gage and I had to stay overnight, disconnect the oxygen and monitor his Saturation's overnight. I was so disappointed when I realized we were sharing a room with a family of four that didn't speak English. I really dislike CHOC it's so dirty, we had a bathroom with no lock to share and the sink wasn't even in the bathroom so if you were using it to brush your teeth or anything you were in front of the other family. Not to mention they had a two year old that kept playing with loud toys (piano's ect) and once the Dad and two year old went home after visiting hours were over the baby (prob 8 months old) cried all night and then the Dad dropped the little boy off at 6am so he could go to work so we were back to loud toys and screaming. Thank God it was only one night. Please pray for the baby I discovered when the Dr and translator came in to talk to the mother that he's having liver failure, his eyes and skin are yellow (I didn't really see him, just heard him) and the Doctor's can't figure out why it's failing, he's being transferred to UCI. I shouldn't complain because all the children and families there were in much worse shape then us and a silly sleep study...makes me so Grateful for my Beautiful Miracle Boys...Hospitals are so depressing.

I got NO sleep...they are building a new wing of the hospital and were jack hammering at 1am I was shocked. Gage had his appt with the pulmonologist at 11am and thankfully the pneumogram results were ready and we can bid adieu to our friend Mr. Oxygen Tank!!!! Couldn't be happier :)

Gage weighs 10 pounds now and is the cutest little guy I've ever seen. He still talks up a storm and gets attitude every once in a while. Bathtime is his favorite and he also likes swinging in my arms in the backyard.

Gage is Home

Hi Everyone! Well it's been a crazy past month and so many huge changes have happened. I'm happy to say that after 77 LONG Days Gage Finally came home from the NICU on August 7th!!! Nurse Andrea called that morning saying we could take him home if we promised to come pick up his medicine from the pharmacy on Monday morning...we jumped at the chance to have him home a day early :) I was so happy to have my little man home and not have to make the drive to UCI everyday...we do Miss Our Favorite Nurses though :) I was given the option to bring him home on oxygen or let them take it off and do another five day trial without the oxygen and then take him home....and he may end up needing it again so we opted to take him home earlier on oxygen and take him to the pulmonologist.

Gavin started Preschool on Tuesday August 23rd...he's in the afternoon class for three hours and he cried a little at first but really enjoyed it once he was there! The day after he started school he got the flu while at Disneyland and had to miss the second day of school :( Yesterday morning he was nervous again and shed a few tears but his teacher gave my Mom the thumbs up when she picked him up and he won't stop talking about all the fun things they did :)

I really want to get a good family photo soon :)

The three weeks I was home with the boys was a blur...I forgot how hard it was to have a newborn. I forgot what it was like to not sleep. Gage likes to be held and sleep on you...I spent a week sleeping sitting up on the couch with him on me. I have since then moved to my bed where Gage and I sleep in 2-3 hour increments and Gavin and Grant sleep in Gavin's bed. I'm Lucky enough to have Friday nights off where I sleep with Gavin and Grant gets to stay up all night LOL We can't really leave the house since Gage is on oxygen so I occasionally break out and visit Target :)

I had to go back to work this week...only three weeks at home with Gage was not nearly enough time to establish a schedule. Work was just the way I left it and it feels like I never left...I'm so happy to have internet again (need to get at my house) but I really miss the boys all day. We are so Blessed to have My Mom coming to our house to watch them...I know they are in Great Hands! Thanks Mom we Appreciate it more than you'll ever know. Mom also came to let me sleep a few hours when Gage came home and she would take Gavin to do fun things because we can't go anywhere I feel so bad for him being stuck in the house.

Last Friday I took Gage to CHOC for his Pediatric Pulmonology Appt so they could look at his lungs and determine if he still needs the oxygen. First of all I wanted to say that I though CHOC was going to be this beautiful super clean hospital and it was so dirty and they have one giant waiting room for all the clinics which I did not feel comfortable having my Preemie in. I had to wait three hours to see the Dr which is absurd. They took Gage off his medication but they won't do two things at once so they couldn't take him off the oxygen also...I'm allowed to remove the oxygen when we leave the house for short periods of time or when he's awake at home. I can't begin to tell you how difficult it is the drag this giant tank around with you everywhere and I really hope he can come off it soon. He constantly pulls it out and I have to re-tape his poor cheeks daily. The Dr said we have to spend the night at the dirty hospital and take the oxygen off and do a sleep test to monitor his Saturations to see if he can come off. The insurance has to approve this first so they will call me soon to set up appt and then we go back to the Dr in 5 weeks on Sept 30th. I'm praying he can come off it then for good :) I'm not complaining it could have been so much worse considering how early both my boys were born and I Thank God Everyday for Blessing Me With My Two Miracles :) I will be doing the March of Dimes walk forever now...I need some help coming up with a new team name now. It was DaGavinator's now I need a new name for Gage and Gavin...any suggestions? Team GaGa isn't going to work lol

I thought I had Pictures from Mia's Adorable Strawberry Shortcake Third Birthday and I didn't have any on my camera so I know this is way late but I'd like to say Happy Belated Birthday to Gwenett, Jamie, Mom and Mia :) I like to take the time to do a special birthday blog for my Favorite Niece and Nephew but due to circumstances this year I didn't have time...I promise next year Mia your B-Day Blog with be Extra Special XOXO

I'm super behind on my blogging again...it's been really busy in the Robers Household :) I wrote this post a month ago and I promise I will be catching up real soon.

We had to say Goodbye to Christy...One of Gage's Primary Nurses last week because she went out on Maternity leave. We are so Fortunate to have met Christy and so Thankful that she chose to become one of Gage's Primary Nurses...Words can't express how Grateful we are that she constantly put our mind's at ease knowing she was taking Wonderful care of Gage. He Loved her and would look for her when he heard her voice :) Thanks for EVERYTHING Christy and Good Luck with Baby Alexa when she joins your Family!

Auntie Jenn gave Gavin a little elephant blanket when he was in his isolette and Elle is his favorite thing in the world and he still sleeps with him Everynight....She sent Gage this cute giraffe we named him Raffy :) Thanks Aunt Jenn!

Five years ago we were at Pala Casino with some Family and Friends and the band playing at the lounge that night was NO DUH a NO DOUBT TRIBUTE BAND...We all know that I LOVE Me Some No Doubt so we stayed and they were AWESOME! I had never heard of them playing again until last week when Grant's friend sent him a facebook invite to see them play at a Dive Bar in Corona...We couldn't miss it with them being so close to where we live!

It said restauraunt on the invite so we decided to meet Jamie and Casey there a little early for dinner...that was until we drove by the bar and realized it was a BEYOND dive bar in the middle of an abandoned old shopping center so we were NOT eating dinner there...we met at Rodrigo's instead :) It was sooooo great hanging with Jamie and Casey we haven't all gone out forever and a good time was had by all!

We had a blast and enjoyed our last night out before Gage comes home! Thanks everyone for joining us :) Grant really enjoyed his hangover the next day LOL

So I'm having a hard time keeping up my milk supply for Gage even though I'm pumping every three hours religiously alot of times your supply will lower after 4 weeks and it has. I have tried all the vitamins, Fenagrek, mother's milk...I have tried the prescription Reglan which hasn't helped I think all of the above have actually decreased my supply so the lactation consultant told me about a prescription called Doneperidone that's illegal in the US so she told me to go to a compound pharmacy (I tried they don't have the active ingredient) or call Canada. I went online and ordered from Canada and thinking I was all good they called me asking for a Prescription...WTF Canada I thought you didn't need a prescription (I'm not ordering pain killers) Why does Canada always send you viagra emails if you need a prescription for it???? I called and finally convinced the Specialist the write the prescription and faxed it to Canada and they said it will be there in 10-14 days..ummm hello it's kinda urgent can I pay for overnight shipping...we don't do that it will be there in 10-14 days. I hate you Canada (besides your beauty) I finally got it last Friday and don't think it's working :( Sorry Gage I'm really trying.

I'm still upset with the verdict in the Casey Anthony Trial...do you think she did it or believe what the media is saying now that it was her Dad? Either way that family is so messed up and it's going to be impossible for her to start a new life...it should be behind bars.

Did you guys see that Brendon and Rachel are back on this season of Big Brother!!! Grant and Brendon have been friends forever and we're so glad they're back on the show...hopefully they come out on top this time!!! Go Team Brenchel lol

Lacey and Dean came to visit last Friday! Lacey came to see Gage the day after he was born but wasn't able to see him in the NICU because they were putting in his PICC line and we couldn't be in the NICU when they were putting it in. It was better for her to see him now so she could hold him :) The playroom has daycare for certain times of the day for Siblings and Family so Dean and Gavin played and made crafts while we visited Gage!

Daddy feeding Gage his bottle! Gage has to be taking the bottle for all feeds before he can come home. Right now he's taking them for four feeds a day and is working his way up the protocol chart. Sunday afternoon the steroids wore off and he was struggling to finish his bottle so they decided to put him back on oxygen. I knew this was a possibility but with him being off it for 5 days I thought we were good to go...he's taking a different low dose steroid again and they were removing the oxygen this evening so hopefully this time he gets to stay off it.

We are so ready for Gage to come home. I'm so done with driving to Orange everyday and need a serious break from the 91 freeway and my bank account needs a break from the FasTrak. Please Pray that he stays off the oxygen for good this time and continues with success at his bottle feeding. I will Miss the Nurses and Doctors so much they have become like Family and it will be strange to not see them Everyday. Once he's home it will be so nice to establish a routine and be able to hold him whenever we want to. We began training for a new research exercise program this week and I've had to meet with the Nurses at 11am each day to learn the program we are going to be the guinea pigs for. The project will take a whole year to complete and I hope we can keep up with it and sending daily reports to the hospital. I feel that they have helped both my Children so much that I can help with this one research project...I do the March for Babies walk and fundraiser each year to fund projects and research so it's kinda nice to be on the receiving end and hopefully will help all Preemies with the findings from this new project. I feel so Blessed with all the Love and Support around us at home and with our new hospital family...Thanks Everyone.

Monday afternoon Josh and Anna met us at the hospital to meet Gage! Anna was super excited to hold our tiny little man :) Josh will wait until he's a little bigger LOL

They were so sweet and bought gifts for Gage and Gavin! Gav loved his gifts and is actually playing with his new color book as I type and Gage is wearing one of his adorable new outfits right now...I will post pics tomorrow :)

One Month Old

I've been trying to play catchup with my blog and just posted 5 blogs so please read all the ones below this :) I know I should be better at posting since I'm on Maternity Leave...however I honestly feel like I have NO TIME and I'm always tired. Gage is awake alot longer during the day so I'm at the hospital for longer periods of time. Gavin and I wake up around 8:30-9:30 whatever time Gavin wakes up (don't judge I'm up three times at night pumping and I'm tired) we eat breakfast, take showers and go to the hospital, get home anywhere between 3-5 and call it a day lol I have so many things on my To Do List and it's getting longer and longer. I'm working on Thank You Cards and catching up on this blog so I don't forget things or get to behind on pictures.

June 22, 2011 ONE MONTH OLD!!!

Gavin and I got to give Gage a bath so he smelt so good and his hair was no longer greasy. His hair looked alot lighter after his bath and had a reddish color in it.

3lbs and 10ozs at One Month Old! I can't wait to bring you home little guy. Gage had his eye exam today and everything came back great. He is maintaining his body temperature and will be moving to a crib very soon!!! The exercise program is going well and besides an few occasional spells (more than usual today because of the eye exam) he's doing great and growing at a wonderful pace. We are still looking at 3-4 more weeks before he can come home.

We walked around campus a little bit (it was HOT) we visited admissions for Amanda to ask questions because she will be going to school there next semester!

Happy Father's Day to My Babies Daddy :) I couldn't ask for a better Father for our Two Sons and we're so Lucky to have you :) Grant started off his day going Golfing with My Dad and Two Friends...they all shot under 100 and had a great time! After golf was done and we ate the crock pot shredded beef burittos that had been cooking all day we headed to the hospital for Daddy to snuggle with Gage!

Gavin's job when we get to the hospital is to close the blinds in Gage's room so it's dark in the room so Gage can open his eyes!

Saturday afternoon we had a babyshower for Gage to get some new goods :) We had tons of yummy food and "signature" sandwiches! We even had peanut butter and jelly with gummy worms for the kiddos!

Amanda got back from her 4 1/2 month deployment to Kyrgyzstan (lower Siberia) last week and the first thing she wanted to do (after her four long days of debriefment) was meet this little guy!!! Gage was super happy to meet his Auntie Amanda and Cousin Catrina...he told me so :)

This past week has been a rollercoaster. Last Thursday evening my cell phone rang around 10pm and Grant and I both looked at eachother like which one of our friends is crazy enough to think we're awake right now...well it wasn't a crazy friend it was the NICU Doctor Scare The Parents (you know who you are) calling to say that Gage had blood in his residual (leftover food in his tummy from his previous feeding) they were running blood tests and taking x-rays so he didn't want to alarm us if we happened to be walking in at 10pm. First of all Dr. Meanie is a 3rd year resident who doesn't know how to talk to parents. He was in the delivery room with us and walked up while I was laying there getting my gut sewn back together and scared Grant and I to death by saying "You Son Isn't Breathing Well...(pause forever like Ryan Seacrest on Idol)...so he's on oxygen (ummmm hello we knew that would happen you made it sound like he died and was no longer breathing) basically Dr. Meanie would've been fine had he said things backwards....Your Son is on oxygen because he's not breathing well...no big deal we understand and figured that but the way he said it just made our hearts drop. I got a huge explanation from him with tons of medical terms I didn't understand and how with preemies it's very, very scary to have blood in the gut bla bla bla in a middle eastern accent. He scared the crap out of me and I spent the entire night crying, trying not to cry and of course not sleeping at all. I immediately wanted to call the night Nurse but I was scared that Dr. Meanie (same one who calls him Gajay by the way) would be standing near her. I of course called her in the middle of the night and she reassured me that he was fine...all the tests came back normal so they were just holding off on feeds until the Doctor's made rounds in the morning...she went on to tell me that she's one of his Primary Nurses and Loves him so much and can't wait until he's off the CPAP so she can hold and cuddle with him all night. I'm so glad that the night Nurses want to cuddle with my Son as much as I do...it made my heart so happy to have her go on and on about how cute he is and all the adorable things he did in the middle of the night :) I wish I would've just called her right away like my gut told me too instead of losing sleep and worrying all night. Grant kept telling me to not worry because he could tell it was the same Dr that was in the delivery room and he just doesn't know how to talk to parents.

The next morning I headed to the Hospital and told the Main Doctor that Dr. Meanie really scared me and if he had only said things backwards or said to me right away when he called Don't worry your tiny child is fine but.....we have this little problem. I guess he's been told to say the good news first and you're never allowed to use the word blood you're supposed to say coffee ground color to not alarm parents. Main Doctor then told me that last year he wanted to start a class for the residents on how to talk to parents and he wanted a group of parents to be involved and be there to critique them when they talk to parents. He now wants to start it back up and have me as the parent that critiques. I honestly will do whatever it takes to help Dr. Meanie aleve parents fears when he calls...if I was a first time NICU parent I would've been even more scared. I had two other Doctor's come talk to me about Dr. Meanie an apologize, asking for feedback and if I'd rather him not call next time...I really hope he's not scared of me now because I just want to tell him to tell people their child is okay and going to live before he gives bad news.

The next day they restarted feeds and he was fine. I held him for a few hours and my Dear Friend Roxi came to meet Gage. Roxi's Mom Trina and My Mom went to dental assisting school when they were young and I've been friends with Roxanne since she was born and I love that she's know my kids since they were born and I will know hers when they are born :) I'm so proud of this girl whose having a major dilemma deciding between USC and UCLA which she got accepted into both right after applying...I believe she's leaning towards USC at the moment but it does seem to change daily :) We were about the leave when all the Nurses started mumbling about the 91 freeway being closed so we enjoyed dinner at Friday's and walked around the Block (outdoor mall) shopping:) Thanks for coming to visit Roxi it was so great catching up with you!!!

After the kids did a great job at the hospital we headed to Krispy Kremes...Gavin was so excited to show Ariel how they make donuts and they both enjoyed their free donut and the ones we bought lol

Monday I try and go alone because the Nurse encouraging non-nutritive breast feeding so they can get used to the nipple and he can't try to really breast feed until 34 weeks gestational age. I got there and the Nurse said he was acting strange and having alot of spells she took blood which all came back negative and his lungs in the x-ray weren't as expanded as they would like. They were just going to watch him closely...she fed him and then went to check her other baby before she was going to lunch and I noticed milk kept coming up and he ended up throwing up his entire meal :( They suctioned him out and the Doctor decided to hold feeds, run the blood tests again and do another x-ray. They started an IV immediately and took the blood. It was scary being there but since this has happened before with Gavin I tried not to cry until I got in the car. I called all night again and he was fine all tests came back negative again so they started him on some lasix antibiotic for his lungs and he was slowly put back on full feeds. I didn't get to hold him Mon or Tues because of his spells and to my surprise yesterday I came in to see this precious face and hair....NO MORE CPAP!!! They came to the conclusion the CPAP was just pushing way to much air into his tummy and making him sick so they are trying to have him on just a nasal canoula...I hope he stays on this :)

Please pray he can stay on the nasal canoula and doesn't need to go back on the CPAP. Please continue to pray that he stops having spells and continues to stay on full feeds. I hate that he keeps getting sick but I'm so grateful that the tests keep coming back negative. I'm also sooo happy that he has primary nurses that notice when he's feeling lethargic and isn't himself.

Gage also started the same excercise study that Gavin was on when in the NICU. They have been doing the study for 12 years and Gage is baby 90 they can't read the data until 100 so I hope they get there soon! Most babies don't qualify so that's why it's taking so long...they have to be 30 weeks gestation and there for four weeks for the study...I know he will be there at least four more weeks :( The Nurse doing the study was laughing that out of 90 babies in 12 years 2 were Robers Boys.

I can't wait to bring this little guy home. The drive is wearing on me but it's worth it when I get there and get to hold this Sweet Boy! Swimming lessons #3 is tonight and Gavin is sooooo Excited!!!

Hospitals, Swimming Lessons and New Job

So it's been busy, busy in the Robers house lately. My life consists of planning my day in 3 hour increments so I can pump and lack of sleep because of pumping at night but it's well worth it and I know Gage will come home sooner and keep getting stronger with Mama's milk. Please don't call me super early in the morning and wake Gavin up...if he will sleep until 9am on occasion and let me get some extra rest I'm all for it. If I don't answer the phone I'm sleeping, pumping or at the hospital so I will call you back and I'm sorry for missing your calls.

Last Wednesday I went to visit Gage for the first time by myself...I finally felt okay to drive after surgery. I got to hold my little man for two hours of bliss!!!

Look at those long legs...I think he got the Tall Robers gene that skipped my Father In Law but his Brothers and Nieces and Nephews are all very tall.

After my visit I headed to Disneyland to meet up with Gavin and my Mom who got there early to preview the new Little Mermaid ride for passholders before it opened to the public. I was bummed I didn't get to go on it but Gavin hasn't stopped talking about it and I'm looking forward to going on it soon. We went on Small World when I got there.

We also got to watch the New Parade!!!

It was Amazing and I'm so glad to finally get a new parade...I swear they were "Celebrating" Disneyland's 50th Anniversary for like 5 years with the old parade LOL

Saturday is going to be Grant's day to hold Gage!!! During the week he stops by after work but he's dirty and doesn't want to hold him until he showers so Saturday is his special day!

The swimming lessons went well...we decided to put Gavin and Mia in the beginner class where the Parent's (Dad's) are in the water with them and Jacob will be in the big kid class...we also changed from Mon to Thursday so Isaac will be off work and can participate!!! I was Proud of all three kiddos :)

I found out the Nurses change out Gage's bed and entire CPAP (oxygen head get-up) Everyday so I was excited to catch him with no CPAP or hat on. Isn't he Adorable? I can't wait until the CPAP is gone for good. He's breathing room air but they don't want to remove the CPAP until he's a little bigger...even though he constantly pulls it out of his nose. On Tuesday I was so excited to walk in and see both hands were free....No more IV...the PICC Line has been removed and they are giving him his caffeine orally now instead of through the IV this is a HUGE deal in the NICU and it means he's doing great and moving on up. On Monday his Nurse wanted me to try and breast feed while doing skin to skin even though he's not really supposed to try for four more weeks and I was so surprised that he latched on and was really trying...Yeah I was a Proud Mama!!!

So Monday was a Huge Day for Us...Gage Latched on....Gavin Started Swimming Lessons and Grant Started a New Job!!! Grant Loves the New Job so far...it's a big company in Orange County and he's glad to be back in his old industry of Integrated Wiring Systems...Preferably Fire Systems and has 90 days to study and pass his Fire, Life and Safety Test to get his License.

I have been looking everywhere for Preemie clothes and since Walmart and Target both decided to become grocery stores they no longer carry preemie clothes so I ordered some off Babie's R Us website even though they didn't have much to chose from. I went to Macy's today after visiting Gage and scored 6 outfits for him and they were all on clearance for $4.00!!! I was so excited but I didn't see any outfits for preemies that weren't on clearance which makes me think they are discontinuing them and that just makes me sad....preemie's need clothes too. Thanks to Everyone for your calls and concerns about Gage...Keep Praying the Little Guy Keeps Growing and Stays on the Right Track!!! Thank You God For All Our Blessings

Gage Update

I haven't had much time to blog lately and everyone has been asking me for updates so I thought I'd quickly try and write what's been going on. Friday morning my Mom drove me to see Gage and Grant and Gavin stayed home trying to fix things around the house. I was sooo excited when they told me I could Finally hold my boy for the first time at 5 days old!

I didn't want to put him back...I could've fallen asleep with him so comfy in my arms. I Love this little guy soooo much and it's so hard to just visit him everyday and not being able to bring him home or hold him whenever I want to. Now that I know this is my last baby I will never put him down when he comes home.

Daddy was super excited Saturday morning because it was his turn to hold Gage! He even shaved his chest so he could do skin to skin. Gage was so comfy in Daddy's arms and he was awake and staring at us for 40 minutes before falling fast asleep on Daddy's chest.

Notice his 6 pack...the CPAP pushes air into his tummy so everytime he eats they have to suck air out of his stomach before feeding him so he gets these little bumps on his belly. Gage is on room air but needs the CPAP to help him breathe...the Respitory Therapist said he's doing most of the breathing on his own so their job is easy :)

I just Love these little feet...he loved to kick in my tummy and he loves to kick now. Gage likes you to push on his foot so he can kick you back and the Nurses all say how feisty he is and if they put blankets on him he kicks them off...just like his Big Brother!

Sunday Grant wasn't feeling well so Marsha brought us to visit Gage and I was so disappointed to find him back under the light for Jaundice. We knew this meant we wouldn't be able to hold him again for a few days :(

Cindy and Kyle came to meet Gage on Monday!!! Cindy thinks he looks like Gavin and he kept making funny faces and getting mad at me for trying to get the little fuzzies from bandages off his skin. Of course Mom wants him clean : )

I Love the fact that in this situation we find ourselves in again that I didn't think would happen and I wouldn't wish on anyone it helps me that Gage has the same Doctor's as Gavin. Today he had the same Nurse and she was so excited to see Gavin all grown up...she was amazed. The Doctor always jokes with me that he doesn't want to create sibling rivalry so Gage will be there the exact amount of days that Gavin was...not a day more or less. I keep telling him that Gage needs to come home sooner than Gavin's 48 days. He also jokes that I planned my pregnancy and NICU stay around RSV season (not true) and I keep asking for a repeat customer discount since I just finished paying him off LOL I feel comfortable here and it makes it so much easier to go through this again.

Gage is on 1.5 cc hourly Continuous feeds at the moment...they seem to move him up .5cc's a day. Hopefully he will be on full feeds soon. They do a routine brain ultrasound to check for brain bleeds, a common preemie problem at a week old...because of the holiday weekend they will be doing it tonight or tomorrow. The Doctor's and Nurses all think there is no problem and think it will come back negative but it's routine to check so I'm praying it comes back good. The jaundice light was off today and he was at 3 for the billi count and it's supposed to be between 4-6 so they will check again in the morning to see if he needs to go back under the tanning bed light. Hopefully I get to hold him tomorrow...it's so hard to just stare and him and hold his hand when I just want to hold him so badly. I owe alot of people phone calls and Thank You notes...My Neighbor gave us a double stroller (the same one you have Gwenett) that was so nice of her...she has twins now so she can no longer use it. If I don't answer the phone I'm in the NICU or Pumping (every 2.5-3 hours) or sleeping because I'm still in pain and waking up to pump so I'm exhausted and I will try to return calls and emails soon, we're still trying to get into a routine and hopefully I can drive next week so I can be more independent. Keep praying the little guy gets stronger and starts eating more to put on some weight (he weighs 2lbs 6ozs now) so he can come home soon...I miss him so much when I'm not with him and it's so hard to stay for long periods of time with a 3 year old. Gavin has been amazing and is so good at the hospital...I'm so proud of him. Grandma and I took him to see Kung Fu Panda today and he Loved it. I'm trying to give him so special attention now because when Gage comes home it will be harder to have one on one time.

Thankfully my liver levels went back to normal and I got to come home yesterday (Wednesday) I was at the hosptial for a whole week and it was so hard to be away from Gavin for so long. I would cry everyday when he would leave it would just break my heart. I'm so grateful that the hospital let's kids come to the Labor and Delivery rooms to visit and that they have a huge kids play room that keeps them entertained. They clean and sterilize all the toys daily and they even have a free service daily to watch siblings in the playroom so you can spend time in the NICU. The NICU has moved over to the new hospital and it's Amazing. Every baby has their own room, with a pumping station and Gage's view is of Disneyland...he gets to see the fireworks at night :) I know that's he's in the Best NICU around and it's all state of the art brand new....they even have new tiny little mattresses in the isolette's and all the equiptment seems so much more advanced than when Gavin was there. Once the Dr's and Nurses learned that this wasn't our first NICU experience they all gave a huge sigh of relief. Gage even has the same main Doctor as Gavin which makes me feel so secure that he can get my other boy home just like he did Gavin. It's awesome that the NICU let's Gavin go see his Brother I don't remember any kids being allowed inside when Gavin was born.

Before I was released yesterday I would pump like a mad woman (thankfully my milk aka liquid gold has started coming in) then take it to Gage and visit. Luckily I stopped by at the right time when they were putting in a new CPAP and cleaning him up

I got to see his face and hair finally with no mask on. He's adorable and I fall more in love everyday. His poor eyes were swollen from being on his tummy and he kept trying to open them to see his Mama!

This was our little guy today...snug as a bug...his color looked great today and the nurse said he was having a wonderful day! Grow little Buddy Grow!

Today was our Fourth Wedding Anniversary. We spent the afternoon at the hospital as a Family! Gage was doing Great today and the Doctor's said he looked great and no changes on his treatment. Just sleep, eat and grow. He gained 10 ozs which in preemie land is alot! It was very hard to leave the hospital for the second time in my life without my baby...it's just not normal or okay but I know he's in the best place and I'm optomistic he will be home soon! Love You Buddy! I got to hold Gavin for the first time when he was 6 days old and I hope I get to hold Gage very soon! I have posted a few blogs so please look below :)

Meeting My Son

Due to the fact that I was still on Magnesium Sulfate in my IV to keep my blood pressure down and the fact I was just cut in half...I didn't get to see Gage the day he was born :( When I was in the recovery room (aka the nurses clock in station) several of the nurses that had been taking good care of me during the week before I had Gage were in shock when they clocked in that morning and saw me lying there in recovery...they were all very sweet, giving me hugs, congratulating us and reassuring me that Gage was in the Best NICU so I should try not to worry. The anesthesia made my face itch like CRAZY I have never in my life been that itchy. They gave me benadryl that evening and it knocked me out...along with some other pain meds and I did wake up with my face peeling so I must have had a bad reaction to the anesthesia or maybe the magnesium. I got a good nights rest and the next morning the IV came out, Gavin and Grant showed up and Gavin and I were ready to finally meet our Fourth Family Member...Completing Us :)

The NICU has an Awesome Sibling System where they try to make them feel comfortable by showing them everything that you'll see on the baby by putting it on a baby doll explaining what everything does. Angie who did the presentation for Gavin first brought him a Special Present from Gage.

My Friend Janelle also stopped by to meet you but Daddy didn't have the camera on him. Lacey and Christina also stopped by but Gage was getting a PICC Line (A peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC or PIC line) is a form of intravenous access that can be used for a prolonged period of time A PICC is inserted in a peripheral vein, such as the cephalic vein, basilic vein, or brachial vein and then advanced through increasingly larger veins, toward the heart until the tip rests in the distal superior vena cava or cavoatrial junction.) placed when they stopped by so they couldn't go meet Gage. Gavin also had a PICC Line when he was in the NICU and it's so much easier than having to get poked so often or keep putting in IV's.

Thanks to Everyone who came to meet Gage and visit Mama....We're so Lucky to have so many people that Love Us! Keep Praying for Gage to Grow Up Big and Strong without complications and gets to come home sooner than Gavin did (Gavin spent 48 long days in the NICU)

How Quickly Things Change

If you read my last blog that was posted Saturday Evening at 8:30 pm you would've known that I felt great and was very optomistic about going home within the next two days to be on bedrest....my how quickly things changed. I fell asleep around 10pm and woke up 30 minutes later with that horrible upper abdominal pain again. The Dr's thought it may be constipation and gave me tons of different ex-lax type things thinking my gall bladder did have some "sludge" in it on the ultrasound. It did give me temporary relief and when I woke up again about two hours later in so much pain they immediately took blood and had the Anesthesiologist come in for me to sign off on a Epidural on go over risks. It was 3:00am when I called Grant to hurry and come now. Grant barely made it and we were having the baby. My liver enzymes had raised dramatically and the only way to relieve the pain was deliver. I got an epidural (last time I had a spinal) it took a while to work and they had to keep increasing the amount because the Doctor's were ready to operate and I could still feel them poking me. Finally they let Grant in and it was Go Time. I hate getting Anesthesia...felt like I couldn't swallow or breathe and I was so tired but felt like I would never wake up if I feel asleep. 5:03am on Sunday May 22, 2011 Gage Phillip Robers was born 2lbs 9ozs 15 1/2 inches long. Gage came out crying alot so I knew he was okay...Gavin only cried a tiny bit and was only 2lbs 4ozs when born.

All of the Men in Grants family have the initials GPR...Grant Pierce Robers, Gavin Paul Robers...we had a very hard time deciding on Gage...we knew the middle name would be Phillip after Grant Father, Gary Phillip that passed away almost two years ago and since we had decided on the name Saige for a girl we agreed on Gage for Our Son :) I Love it! BTW during the C-Section I got a Tubal Ligation aka tubes tied so this will be our final child unless we adopt. Obviously this would happen to me again considering I got sick the exact same time both pregnancies and the Doctor's strongly encouraged me to tie my tubes while they were right there working on me anyways.

While I was stuck in the Hospital room the Family all went to lunch to Celebrate :)

Hospital Bedrest Update...Oh Joy

So....I posted on Tuesday that all my blood tests came back negative for preeclampsia and I was doing a happy dance. Well it was a very premature happy dance....Tuesday evening around 8pm my upper abdomen started hurting (this happened when I started getting sick with Gavin) and I started getting flu like symptoms that evening. I slept on the couch and was throwing up and visiting the bathroom all night. The next morning I told Grant that we need to go to the hospital because we would rather be safe than sorry.

We got to the hospital around 9am they quickly started an IV and took some blood due to my history. We then got the news that we would have to deliver the baby because my liver enzymes were once again rising. Thank You Liver for failing me again even though I have never once in my entire life abused you. I was quickly admitted and they administered my first steroid shot to my thigh to develop the babies lungs quicker. Ideally they would like you to get two steroid shots 48 hours apart to for the babies lungs to develop at a rapid rate in hopes they can breath on their own when born. I was put on magnesium sulfate IV which made me sick at first which lowers your blood pressure and makes you not have seizures. Once the IV was finished I started feeling better and the Dr's said the liver enzyme levels were stabalizing so they wanted to postpone delivery until the second steroid shot was given. The second shot was given on May 19th at noon and since then my enzymes and blood pressures have remained the same so they have decided to wait on delivery and give this little guy some more time to cook in my belly. I have been on bedrest in the hosptial since Wednesday morning on the 18th and I'm going crazy. Thankfully they took me off the IV this afternoon so I can finally go to the bathroom not connected to a machine and I can walk around my room a little to stretch out my legs. Steroids stay in the Mother's System for 5-7 days so basically I am stuck in the hospital until the steroids wear off which is Mon-Wed and hopefully I'm Praying, Praying, Praying that the liver enzymes stay low along with my Blood Pressures and I can go home for bedrest instead of staying here. I want to keep this little guy cooking in my belly as long as possible...today I'm 28 weeks 5 days pregnant...I delivered Gavin at 29 weeks 5 days...this could just be the beginning of the problems that I had with Gavin and caught super early...at this stage I went from severe preeclampsia on Wednesday to mild and I hope it stays that way and doesn't elevate to HELLP syndrome like I had with Gavin. I feel great...no pain like last time I'm just going crazy being in the hospital. The worst part was that I didn't eat since dinner on Tuesday evening and I was starving....because they thought delivery was going to happen they didn't let me eat until Thursday afternoon finally...let me tell you best turkey sandwich Ever lol Yesterday morning they had me do a ultrasound on my Gall Bladder to rule out Gall Stones...it wasn't that and I had to lay in the hallway for like 30 minutes for someone to come bring me back to my room...talk about uncomfortable.

I Miss My Son and Husband Sooooo Much. They come to visit everyday...Gavin did amazing today just laying in bed with Mama all day but it hurts so much when it's time to say Good Bye. It's hard not to cry yourself to sleep when you can't tuck you little guy in, make sure he ate his dinner, give him baths, snuggle and give him kisses goodnight. I am so Grateful to My Wonderful Husband who slept on a cot the first night when we didn't know what was going to happen (he snored the night away) while I was poked and woken up every three hours (it's so impossible to sleep in the hospital) and I have no veins left to get poked. Grant is my rock and I know it's hard on him too...scary to think about having another preemie and I'm Thankful that I have him as my partner in crime in this situation...I Love You Honey! Hopefully we're not spending our Four Year Wedding Anniversary in the Hospital even though it's looking that way at this moment. Thanks to My Parents for taking care of Gavin and coming to see my Everyday...I know Gavin is in the Best Hands Possible and I know it's not easy on you guys either. My Dad has been stopping by to keep my company on his way home from work and I've been learning all kinds of stories I had never heard before (he had Pneumonia at 13 and spent 45 days in the PICU as a child) he also fell off a ladder when my Mom was pregnant with me and cracked his head open requiring brain surgery....talk about scary surgery...he was very alarmed when they kept talking about the wrong side of his brain...thankfully he asked for a second opinion and got the proper side to have surgery...scary. Dad and Grant have toured the new NICU here at UCI and say it's the Taj Mahal compared to the old one that Gavin was in. Hopefully we don't have to stay there long but it's in God's Hands at this point and all the Prayer's Everyone has been sending have been working wonders. Thanks to My Mother In Law Marsha for stocking me up on magazines galore and trying to plan a babyshower while I'm stuck here...I really appreciate it. Thanks to ALL the Call, Texts, Facebook Messages and Prayers Sent Our Way...They Are Getting Me Through the Day and I know I'm doing what's Best for the Baby! I also want to Thank the Amazing Doctor's and Nurses here at UCI for a Job Well Done...they make me feel so comfortable and I know they are doing what's best for Mama and Baby. The Nurses seriously get me through the day with their care and compassion and the evening Nurses get me through the lonely nights while sitting and watching American Idol with me and talking about their kids. I have a whole new appreciation for Nurses now :) I will just wait, rest and pray now that my enzyme levels maintain and I can go home for some bedrest...ultimately it will be up to Dr. Major the Specialist I've been going to the entire pregnancy whom I trust with my life :)

Dinner and Dental Convention

The Dental Convention was in town last weekend. We have a huge Hospitality Suite at the Hilton Hotel for our Dentist Members to come eat breakfast and lunch and just relax in between classes. Our Boss got us a hotel room on Thursday night at the Hilton because we had to be downstairs at our event at 6am. It was the perfect night to go out to dinner with the girls! We decided on Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen at Downtown Disney because of all the Great reviews it's received. I had the New York Steak and it was Amazing...Everyone Loved their food...Especially the Beignets for Dessert!!! I ordered the large order of six and our waiter brought the small order of four because the six weren't done yet so he ended up taking so long that he brought us out six extra and gave us all of them for FREE! Best Beignet's Ever Please Go Try Them!!!

The OCDS Girls of Past and Present....Stacy, Christina, Lacey, Shalyn & Stephanie

Christina and I were Pregnant and due two days apart with Gavin and Jonas...Except Gavin was born early so they are almost 3 months apart and here we are Pregnant together again :) I'm having another Boy and she's finally getting her Girl (she has two boys) I'm Soooo Excited for her! I gave her the tutu I won online for her Daughter to enjoy when she arrives! Every single person that has gotten pregnant while working at OCDS has had a BOY...Finally she quit and broke the trend!

We had over a Two Hour dinner talking about kids (we all have boys) except Stephanie whom I think we scared into never wanting kids and Husbands...It was Great seeing Everyone and Catching up! I Love all my Past and Present Co-Workers :)

Stacy and I headed back to the hotel to sleep and wake up bright and early to the FREEZING cold weather at our event. I swear my hair looked better than that when I left the hotel room. It was so cold both days that they ordered blankets and a fire pit on Saturday. The event was a huge success and we were all beyond tired from the past two weeks at work preparing for the event. My body was hating me for making it wake up early on Fri and Sat which are normally days off LOL

Sunday I slept in and relaxed all day! Thankfully Tomorrow is Our Friday at work because our Boss was kind enough to give us Thursday off and Glen Ivy passes for a day of Relaxation! Enjoy your week Everyone :)

Baby Update

Yesterday was my Weekly...Monday Doctor's Appointment. The Good News was that we got to see this little guy!!! We didn't expect to get any 3D images so that was Awesome! Growth Wise he's right on track weighing 2lbs 6ozs right now.

Side Profile...he's not blowing bubbles he kept putting his hands in front of his face...he already hates the camera LOL I think he has his Daddy's nose :)

The not so good news is during the ultrasound the Systolic/Diastolic blood flow on the Doppler from the Umbilical Cord was showing Resistance which Gavin's did also and could be a huge sign of what lies ahead. The Dr thinks this could be the beginning and since it was caught early she is watching it closely. We were at the Dr's for almost 3 hours and she ordered a full blood work on Preeclampsia and I will be getting another ultrasound on Monday. It sounds like we may be getting ultrasounds and blood tests every week now. A few weeks ago she was telling me she was hoping to make it to 37 weeks and yesterday she said she's hoping to make it to 34 weeks. That would be that last week in June if I deliver at 34 weeks. Please Pray that I make it further :) I'm so glad I'm going to the Specialist and they are really on top of everything. Fortunately he's already measuring bigger than Gavin was when I delivered him...I would be delivering Gavin next Friday at 29 weeks 5 days and I'm getting really scared now. I know I need to relax and take it easy...it's easier said than done. The Specialist promised they would catch it early and start steroid shots for his lung development and deliver at first sign of HELLP or Preeclampsia I know it won't be as bad as last time but I just hope I make it to 34 weeks and we don't have a long NICU stay if any. Praying Praying Praying for a Full Term Healthy Boy. I'm so glad we got to see him yesterday and that Grant was with me :)
